Alex Audio Video is looking for a qualified system installer who will be used in various roles depending on the project requirements. Typical installations include Structured Cabling, Home Cinema, Networking, Home Automation, Conference rooms, Background and Multiroom AV, Digital Signage, Security cameras ...

Duties will include cabling installation, termination of cable, especially speaker, RG-6, and Category 5e/6a/7 cable, hardware installation, and certification of systems in end-user homes. Knowledge of commercial and/or residential cabling installations and applications is preferable. Applicants with professional certifications are a definite plus.

Technician/Installer - Audio Video Integration

Qualifications

• Understanding of home building infrastructure
• Experience in running wire in new and existing homes
• The lead installer must be able to work without supervision
• Capable of intelligent decision making and have good troubleshooting skills
• Must be able to read architectural blueprints
• Be available for travel to training seminars

Duties will include

• Pre-wiring in residential homes for theater and multi-room systems
• Cutting holes and terminating wire
• Installing in-wall/ceiling speakers
• Hanging TV's and mounting projectors and screens
• Prewiring and installing/programming networks and related systems
• Installation and setup of advanced residential integrated systems

Required education

High school or equivalent

We are willing to train the right person with a construction background for A/V installation. We are not as concerned about your knowledge of A/V equipment, we are more focused on finding someone who knows their way around a construction site/home infrastructure and is willing to learn and become a leading professional.
